It came with a little piece of crispy bread on top to dip into the salted foam. Definitely going back regularly. The coffees that my boyfriend and I received looked as perfect as their Instagram! I had the coconut latte and he had the taro latte, which were two of the best coffees we have had. Also, the guava pastry was excellent!! Super excited to be a regular here 🤩 Thien2025-06-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Essentially, was Vietnamese coffee, creamy foam, and delicious coconut shavings. It was impressed with espresso based beverage. It certainly offered that great strong Vietnamese Coffee but with from the sweetness the cream, not to mention that excellent toasted coconut flavor. The turn over pastry was great, too or paté chaud. The pastry was butter and crispy, and the meat paté was delicious. It is important to note, that the pastries are baked in house. I was very impressed when I learned that. The service was great! Ni Ni was very sweet and helpful. They offer inside and outside seating. They offer a variety of specialty beverages, egg rolls, Bánh mìs, and spring rolls as well. This is such a great place! Do visit! Mark Wallen2025-05-30Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice selection of asian leaning coffee beverages with a handful of delicious in house baked goodies. Very friendly staff, parking was better than I thought it would be. AC was on the fritz when we got there but there was outside seating. Also, this places cream is no joke. Thickest i've ever had. Tip: dip your pastry into your leftover coffee-cream! Luca Tyno2025-05-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Egg coffee was great - touching and lasting coffee flavor that is blended nicely with the creamy and lightly salted egg cream top. They serve pastries as well but I think coffee is the brighter star of the show. Owner and staff are kind and nice folks. The store displays nice ceramic coffee phins as decor, but there are rooms for improvements on the overall store vibe/design. Will come back to try the bạc xỉu with the phin. She was so sweet and picked the perfect coffee for us. The coffee was SOOO good. Definitely recommend coming in here. It's super cute, clean and delicious! Kevin B.2025-06-29Verified My girlfriend and I have been anticipating this cafe from looking at their Instagram and I'll say the coffee and pastries we received perfectly matched their advertisement on Instagram. I got a taro latte with guava & cheese pastry and she got a coconut latte with strawberry & cheese pastry. The pastry was probably one of the best I've ever had at a cafe and the coffee was not only picture perfect but delicious and bang for your buck. I can also see that it can be a good study spot as it's cool and clean. The barista was very nice and welcoming too! Definitely will come back. Andrea R.2025-06-28Verified We ordered the coconut matcha and a vanilla latte, both were DELICIOUS! There are many cafes across San Diego but Vinam is in a league of their own! Unique, creamy, delicious. We loved the sugared bread topper and the beautiful presentation. Lovely staff, highly recommend! Paulina P.2025-06-24Verified Place just remodele! it looks great:) coffee and pastries are really good. Service is great as well. Venus G.2025-06-17Verified This place just made top 3 of my coffee shop favs. Ni was super sweet as well as her mom Tram, (Owner of Saigon Sandwich). Their food and drinks were delicious and I'm just super excited they're close to my home. Xitlalei J.2025-06-08Verified I am so glad I found this new local coffee shop! The owner was extremely kind and very helpful when trying to decide what to get. I ended up getting the Coffee-Milk Three Layer but the owner added on the brûlée salted foam. It was amazing! It was on the sweet side but Vietnamese coffee usually is. I also got the banh mi, incredible and fresh! Jennifer C.2025-05-13Verified Went on opening weekend and they're definitely working out some things but I was happy I tried it and I would give them another chance. It's located on the busy El cajon blvd but I was able to find street parking a couple blocks away. I got the salt cloundfee (not sure if that's intentionally spelled that way on the menu or not...). But it was essentially a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk as a base and then a salted cream on top. Oddly, the owner also torched the top even though I didn't get the creme brulee version. I also asked for it to be less sweet and she forgot. When I asked her about it she then said the drinks were not that sweet. They are verryyyy sweet. That is pretty typical for Viet coffee though. Flavor was decent but I could have used a stronger coffee flavor. The owner also mentioned she makes all of her baked goods herself. I got the cinnamon danish and the cheese Danish. Unfortunately they were very dry and dense. Not flaky or buttery at all. Carol B.2025-05-10Verified A new shop in the area that specializes in Vietnamese Coffee. The owner was sweet and gave good recommendations. Overall the drink and pastries are great and I'm glad to find a new spot that has Egg Coffee that is much closer to me. They have a few parking spots right in front of the shop but can also street park nearby.Load more
